“The pursuit started nearly 3 years ago; and culminated with only two of the original UK/Scotland sourced sets of speakers left in the warehouse...UA was kind enough to share with me the serial number prior to purchase and I jumped quickly after having only dipped my toe into the pool prior to....one need only watch Kevins video on the speaker and while Fyne now is the new favorite, and well it should be, everything Kevin states about Tannoy is true...I've had mine now for five weeks; have almost 300 burn in hours on them, and they sound amazing right out of the box....but now i have a legacy piece from Tannoy; no longer the UK giant of nearly a centruy it once was; the speakers are the prettiest furniture i own; and they sound remarkable for only 300 hours on them....i am giving them another 200 hours, to total 500 burn in hours, before i sit down and critically listen to them....but I have decided on a new tube amp. SET; an Audio Note 300B; it's only 8 watts...but it's Land O Lakes butter for sure...WOW....so UpScale sold me my Prima Luna Evo 400 monoblock configuration; the evo400 preamp; and all other gear associated with my one system....even a pair of AK6 Klipschorns...I can't say enough for the total TEAM approach, from Sean, Ken, to Kevin........and even Kat back in the day...If my local stereo shop dont carry it, and Kevin does, my business goes west. I support my local shop as much as i can always....and UpScale will always be my tube dealer as well....The Tannoys are perfect....they are not the top of the line in performance or price...but oh my, you sure think they are when you listen to them....only gonna get better with more break in hours....Thanks Team UpScale....in 30 years or so, I can die happy....if i get to listen to my music thru system pieces you guided and provided me towards.....”

“I've been a fan of concentric driver tech for many years. Just could't justify the prices of the higher end speakers. Then along came Kevin's sale on Tannoy stock. Back in the pandemic, I bought the Tannoy DC10A at an unheard of discount. I was quite happy with those, but now the Tannoy GRF went on clearance for another unheard of discount. Amazing build quality, amazing drivers, nicely tolerant of positoning, across the spectrum depth, detail, not harsh. Paired with the Manley Snappers, none of the typical excuses people make for tube gear apply. The base is powerful, tight and detailed, the midrange is to die for, higher frequencies are strong and detailed. Excellent imaging too as expected from this tech. In short, this is a cost-is-no-object speaker that is an exceptional value at the current price.”

“I am not getting a good balance. Not sure how to correct. I'm now limiting speaker volume using the Eversolo speaker balance. I have to set mostly to left speaker to get center stage.not sure what to do.”

“I paired these speakers with a pair of Rel subs and the outcome has surpassed my expectations. I keep the Rels in "audio mode," as opposed to "Home theater mode," and I get the best of all worlds -- great imaging, great mids, smooth and pleasing highs, and solid bottom. Plus, aesthetically, there's nothing like the appeal of the Tannoy design. Even when I'm not listening to them, I love just seeing them standing at ready. It's a vintage vibe all the way around and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Joel was a great help in selecting these speakers, too!”
