“Amazing speaker, especially at this price point. I've heard speakers that sound like a PA system, others that sound like an analytical device. The best way I can describe these is they sound like a musical instrument, highly involving and enjoyable. I agree with the other reviewers that Tannoy is underappreciated on this side of the pond.”

“To be honest I was skeptical on the sound quality of the F6 without hearing them first, but decided to buy a pair and if I didn't like them I would just give them away. While I have just received them and have been listening to them for about 30 minutes, I've decided they are keepers. The only other speakers I can compare them to are the Kef 350, Polk Lsi9's, PSB's, and a pair of Indiana Line Musa 505's which I currently have and have been moving them in and out of my system which is Marantz Receiver, Marantz CD Player and Outlaw Audio mono amps. Nothing earth shattering in terms of high end, but with all my other hobbies, I evenly spend my money to cover all my bad habits! I did find that I for at least the time being I needed to add a Cambridge Sound powered sub for more bottom end. Overall for the price I can't certainly complain. Are there better speakers, absolutely. Better components as well, but for a few thousand dollar investment, I believe most folks who have limited funds but want something they can listen too and not spend part of their kids college fund, these speakers will certainly please.”

“These are absolutely wonderful. Don't understand the lack of press on these speakers. It's a shame.. Audiophiles are really missing out. Solid build quality, woofers have beefed up rubber surrounds and they look much better in person. Very sexy if I say so myself.. Sound quality is fabulous. They seem to possess a more sophisticated, higher end sound. I'm only guessing due to the pedigree from which Tannoy is known for.. Smooth from top to bottom with no emphasis on any particular frequency or range. Bass is very prevalent and solid. Not boomy. Midrange is first class. Vocals are spot on, both male and female. Piano sounds very realistic. More so than what I've heard through many other loudspeakers. Treble is sweet, airy and sparkly, without being overbearing and sibilant. Soundstage is quite large but considering I've only had these running for two days now, they'll probably open up even more. These being rated at 87db efficient, they remarkably play well with low powered tube amps. I've had these powered so far by my 7.6 watt per channel, Boyuurange 300B A50 MKIII tube amp with surprising results. That's what I'm basing this review on. Very impressed to say the least. They could easily compete with much pricier loudspeakers. It's a shame there's not a lot of reviews for these on the web. People are really missing out on a true audio gem.”
