I decided to purchase these vacuum tubes from Upscale because I was intrigued by the cryogenic treatment that was up on offer. I also got the impression that your tube grading was probably a step up from most other suppliers. One thing I did notice is that the moment I started playing music through my newly re-tubed amp, there was definitely a marked improvement from my previous set. It felt as if I didn’t have to play the new tubes 100 hours or so to break them in, they already sounded tuned in. Thanks for your prompt service; I will be doing more business with Upscale Audio in the future.

These tubes brought my vandersteen 3a Sigs via Rogue Audio m180 monos back to life. It was like adding a sub. There is no denying that buying tubes that have been tested is More than worth the price of admission. Very quiet and I expect years of reliability. Thanks Kevin!!!

Exchanged 6550s against the KT120 in a CJ Premier11. Fantastic, cleaner, mir control. P11 owners: the KT120s are higher, so the tube cage does not fit anymore. But it’s worth it.

When i first started listening to my new Prima Luna EVO 300 with EL34s, the first reaction was "love that midrange" , followed by "where did the bass go?" vs. my solid-state amp. The KT120 brought it back. They are exactly as described in Kevin Deal's KT120 youtube review. Art Dudley and Dick Olsher both recommended KT120 with Triode mode with similar Prima Luna amps to mine (though not my exact model) and i have settled on that. Slightly laid back high frequencies vs the EL34 with my PSB imagine T2's but certainly the most musical system i've ever had and by far the least fatiguing. A totally worthwhile purchase!

I ordered the quartet of KT120 for my PL Dialogue Premium amp. After about a month I switched back to stock EL34. I think that PL works the best with EL34. IMO the resolution, dynamics, quality (not quantity) of bass and the sense of space is better presented with EL34s. KT120s in the bass area sound boomy in comparison. EL34s are more refined. On the other hand if PL was meant to work with KT120s, I'm sure that manufacturer would use these tubes instead. I'm not saying that KT120s are bad, they are probably very good for bass guitar amps.
