“The BAT VK-90 is, hands down, the best preamp I have ever owned. Both simple and elegant, the functionality is everything that you need and could ask for. Build quality is as good as it gets. Parts quality is excellent and equals or bests the majority of its peers in the industry. Sonically, it is an absolute gem. In my present system, I made several upgrades over the past few years. I brought in the BAT VK-90T tube amp about 2 years ago. In late 2022 I sold my phono stage and upgraded to a BAT VK-P90. I had a BAT VK-33SE preamp and decided that it would be best to have a complete "90 series" system so I sold it and purchased the VK-90 preamp. I had good expectations but I didn't realize the treat I was in for. This preamp provides the best imaging and precise location of instruments/musicians of any preamp I have ever owned. The width and depth of the soundstage is just amazing. The new generation super-pack power supply delivers astonishing low-end that is both quick and precise. Each and every day I look forward to turning on my system, letting it warm up a bit, and then sitting back and enjoying my time of falling into the music. It just takes my breath away. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of BAT electronics. First-class, in every respect.”
