“This is our first truly high end audiophile turntable - replaced a ProJect Debut Carbon. The VPI HW-40 is simply a beautiful piece of functional art. We paired it with a Kiseki Purple Heart Cartridge on the recommendation of Kat at Upscale. Kat also assembled the table for us, mounted the cartridge expertly. When it arrived to our address across the country it was ready to go straight out of the very securely packed box. Kat was completely helpful and answered all of our e-mail and phone questions over the two weeks it took to decide on this particular turntable and cartridge. We can not recommend Upscale Audio highly enough.”

“Replaced an older VPI HW19 model I had owned for almost 30 years with this fantastic table. The bass performance and lack of noise is nothing short of remarkable. The ease of use of this direct drive is an added benefit, as I never anticipated moving away from those belts and all that came with them. As for aesthetics, it blends seamlessly in almost any system and environment, though it is a very substantial table requiring a larger base than some traditional stands provide. I expect this will be my final table, though I must admit its level of detail and overall performance does have me considering cartridge upgrades. It already led to me upgrading my pre-amp, and I expect the speakers are next. I think that only the very best equipment will let me fully understand the capabilities of this table. It has shined in ever setup I have tried so far.”

“Phenomenal turntable at half the price of prior product. Kat’s set-up was perfect!!! Very little assembly was required by me. Shipped half way across the U.S. with no damage.... not even a loose screw or connection. Tamara, thank you for all the protective packing. Thank you Upscale Audio!”
