“First of all and very importantly the speakers and stands arrived double boxed! Double boxing costs Upscale a bunch of money and not only in materials and labor costs but it also increases the shipping cost. This is customer service on a very high level and I appreciate it so thanks Kevin! I love the speakers. The cabinet workmanship is nothing short of amazing. The stands are steel with two veneered blocks mounted at the top and bottom of each stand and they are very solid and very heavy. They arrive fully assembled with the spikes already attached. Also they come with matching spikedisks that protect your floors from the spikes if that's good for you. How they do all if this for the money is a mystery. The sound for the first ten hours or so was slightly muffled and I thought maybe they were defective but I was patient and then the sound opened up and wow. They are detailed without being clinical. The sound is plush, thick and human. These Lintons are about having an experience and also about having fun. This is art, not science. And I want to point out that all I have for an amp is a twenty plus year old Sony receiver. I'm planning on updating my electronics later this Spring and I can't wait. So now you know where I stand. To be able to get overall quality like this for this amount of money is just incredible. Have fun with whichever speakers you get but have fun.”

“This was my first time purchasing from Upscale Audio and you have made a customer for life! Fedex had misplaced one of the four boxes for my new Wharefedale Linton Speakers and I was planning to go out of town so Al at Upscale Audio made numerous calls to FedEx to get things straightened out, and my speakers and stands are comfy cozy in my Man Cave! Me 1 Porch Pirates 0 Companies talk a lot about customer service but actions speak louder than words, and the folks at Upscale Audio deliver on thier promises! Oh, and how do the Lintons sound? Amazing! I was using a paid of Klipsch Heresy IIIs and they just wore you out after a long time listening. Not only do these Lintons sound incredible, but they look right at home with my other Vintage Audio Gear and the finish is incredible. I don't consider myself an Audiophile, but I am always looking for the next great sound...I am powering the Wharefedales by both a Vintage Sansui AU20000 and a Willsenton Tube amp, they sound incredible with both and they are very efficient, they don't need a lot of power to make them really perform. Do yourself a favor and skip the other guys and let Upscale Audio earn your business, you won't be disappointed.”

“A fun speaker in every regard; as eager to deliver soulful horns and vocals as it is to rock out. I don't think you'll find a more pleasing speaker at anywhere near the same money. And kudos to Upscale Audio for the informed recommendation, the speedy delivery, and the fantastic packing job.”

“Love these speakers. The cabinets are fantastic quality. The sound is amazing. I can sit a listen to music for hours (over 6 last sunday) with these speakers. Listening to flac files from Marantz NR1200. Was looking for a traditional 3-way speaker that was NOT a tall skinny tower, they look ugly to me. These fit the bill perfect. I listen to classic rock, pop, rap and country and they sound fantastic with all those types of music. Try these, you wont be disappointed.”

“I had pretty much already made my mind up on these speakers when I first visited this web site. I was trying to resolve an issue with my current equipment where it wasn't giving me satisfactory performance. I was looking at pairing these with a new amplifier but hadn't made up my mind what route to take. I decided to open the online chat feature and was connected with Evan. I described my situation and we talked over a few things, he explained that these speakers pair very well with tube amplifiers and recommended getting the Pimaluna Classic to partner with them. Boy was he right, these make a lovely combination and blow away what I previously had! They have taken quite a few hours to settle in but now they have the bass has tamed and they are sounding superb. I required a wide sound stage with good imaging over anything else, I would actually sacrifice dynamic range or other qualities to get that if necessary. These do not disappoint on any front, they are by far the best sounding speaker that I have heard at this price range. I bought them with the matching stands and highly recommend anyone else to do the same, they complement the speakers really well and they provide a solid (heavy) footing. Lastly, the service from Evan and the Upscale team was top notch. I really feel that he knew what I was talking about and translated my web typings to recommending a product that works really well for me. Shipping was super fast and the packaging top notch, these guys know how to conduct business. Thanks Evan, Kevin and the rest of the staff!”
