These Wharfedale Linton Heritage speakers are exactly what my system needed. While my KEF R3's (Non Meta)can sometime cross over into sounding analytical at times, these Wharfedale are musical from top to bottom. There's nothing missing in the frequency spectrum and I'm even hearing things in the mix that I've never even noticed before. Rogue Audio Sphinx 3, Innuos Pulse Mini Streamer, Chord Qutest Dac, Ferrum Hypsos Power Supplies for Streamer and Dac, Audience and Shunyata Power Distributors, Audience Power Cords, Kimber Kable interconnects and Speaker Cables, Nordost USB, Voodoo Cable Ethernet, JL Audio E110 sub.

Sound quality is amazing plus fit and finish is top notch. It looks gorgeous in walnut finish. One of the best speakers available in the market in its price range. Well done Wharfedale.

I am running these with a Kenwood KR-9400 and they are Amazing. I also tried them with my NAD 7600 And they sounded amazing through it as well. I can’t believe this much sound comes out of speakers this size!

These are inexpensive speakers, by serious audiophile standards but, you wouldn't know that based on the packaging in which they were shipped. Wow! I'm on the Low-Fi end of the Hi-Fi gear spectrum. But, I'll share my thoughts for those trying to get the best sound they can and still have money for a good truck and a good steak on occasion. Through a Marantz PM8006 Integrated amp, the sound the Wharfedale Lintons produce is less full than the sound of the equally budget friendly Klipsch RP-280Fs they replaced. How could the single 8"wooder stand mount Lintons produce the fullness of the 2 8" woofers the Klipsch floor-standers produce?? That was not an expectation I held. My motivation was a similarly priced speaker with a more friendly aesthetic than the Klipsch. The Lintons are right at home in our traditionally decorated smallish living room (18' x 22'.) I got exactly what I was hoping for in the Lintons. The sound of the Lintons is the sound many 1970 era speakers produced. I don't recall in precise detail those speakers but, I did not have a subwoofer to augment the lower end back then. My musical style is vocal centric folk and singer/songwriter. The lower end is agreeable even without the augmentation by the subwoofer. But, there are seldom instances when I turn the subwoofer off. The mids are the sweet spot for the Lintons. They are adequately present but, not, particularly open. There are passages that I am intimately familiar with such as the sax on Steely Dan's, 'Reeling in the Years' where the highs leave off and are not reproduced with the energy to which I had become accustom. My first set of speakers came from Kevin in the late 70s at a shop in Upland called Mission Electronics. They were BES 105s. I remember the joy of the music fondly from those speakers as lacking as they were. it was my introduction to stereo.

I picked these up about a month ago and have enjoyed them immensely. They’re the walnut finish with the matching stands. The speakers look gorgeous. It was a huge upgrade from my older 90’s Advent Heritage speakers. These just image so much better, have clearer mid-range and great bottom end. Perfect match for my vintage Kenwood L-07 series system. Highly recommend! Oh, and Upscale did a killer job packing the set. Everything was double boxed and secure.

These speakers are outstanding right out of the box. I have been an audiophile for over 50 years and wasn’t expecting such good performance at this price point. So glad I choose Upscale Audio as there service is first rate. The care they took in the shipping process is the best I have ever experienced.
