“Well… I wasn’t sure if I should spend $1500 on two tubes. Don’t forget tax on top of that. But when you look at the five-year warranty, it’s actually an amazing bargain. And here’s the kicker these tubes sound absolutely amazing. The only way I can describe them in a brief form is to say they just sound very Audiophile. I’m hearing things in songs I haven’t heard before. I thought somebody kept sliding a chair in another part of the house and it was actually a Tom Tom in a Peter Gabriel song that I hadn’t heard before! I installed them in a Felix Audio Arioso 300b amp. The original tubes are actually very good, but they’re just not as airy and detailed and spacious sounding. If I wanted to listen to some rock, I might put the Electro Harmonix back in because they’re a little fuller in the middle, just a pitch. My Arioso with the Western Electric 300b tubes is a spiritual combination.”
