“Bought this cooling flange after replacing the plastic made one from VW that requires replacement every year from annoying leaks. Fit perfectly. Definitely more solid as its made from cast aluminum. Fixed my leak and has been running strong. A must buy for people still hanging on to their 98 Passats.”

“I read a few noteworthy reviews of the $3 plastic flange replacement which stated that the flat end that mated to the back of the head was sometimes poorly toleranced and would leak after 10 minutes; otherwise, over-torquing the bolts would compress/deform the flange and make it seat improperly. I decided to go with a $60 aluminum flange, which to my luck, dropped in price about a week after purchase to $45. The part arrived quickly and was in perfect shape; since I've replaced it 600 miles ago, there have been no leaks. 5/5”
