“This product was really easy to install however, I would recommend accessing the side marker from the wheel well. It only added about 5 minutes more on each side because you have to first turn the wheel/tire IN on the side you are working with. Next, remove about 2 or 3 Torx screws. Start from the bottom and work up. Pull back the cover just enough to access the part-pushing out from the plastic clip. The reason being is that I slightly marred the paint when I was trying to remove it from the outside fender (using a cheap-ass auto trim tool). The ONLY critical thing that I would say is that the light pattern is more decorative than the other LED I had installed (DeAuto Key). The LED strip is not as bright (inherently because of the smoked lens I guess) or 'wide' as I thought it would be based on the pictures from other customers on the site. However, the smokey/black effect is a much better look than the stock amber housing so I can live with that. I also bought the Dynamic LED turn signals (smoke) which are highly recommended and pairs well with the thin LED line style of the side markers. Overall I would say this was a good purchase if you want to give your VW a nice 'blackout' look.”

“I love the smoked side marker lights on my 2017 Beetle! They were super easy to install. Literally plug and play. And the LED bulbs look awesome! I’m very pleased. Worth every penny :)”
