“Brilliant lightweight yet very effective pair of gaiters. I pair these with a waterproof ‘skirt/kilt’ as I find it such a mission to pull waterproof trousers on / off.
The only comment I have on these gaiters, and it applies to all gaiters, is that if you use zero drop footwear then the sole strap is doomed very quickly. I wear Altra Trail Runners for 3 Season use but now (here in UK) it is November and the cold /rain/wind of season 4 is back with a vengeance. This weekend was on Kinder Scout and I wore the helium gaiters without the sole strap as I was wearing my Vivo Barefoot winter leather boots. I took off the sole strap from the gaiters and they worked perfectly without riding up my boot - protecting my footwear and feet from all the claggy peat mud and water. Yup, the gaiters worked well and I think part of that is to do with the more flexible/soft material that these gaiters are made from.
On getting home, the gaiters cleaned up quickly in the kitchen sink using a washing up brush. Yes, I’m really happy with these gaiters.”
