Vedder's custom-engineered claw attachment is designed to provide maximum concealment and greater comfort during concealed carry. The Vedder Holster Claw is a great addition to your standard LightTuck holster!
What is a Concealment Claw and What Does it Do?
A concealment claw, also known as a holster claw or “wing,” is a holster attachment designed to hold your gun closer to your body to prevent printing and provide greater concealment.
Holster claws also help distribute the weight of your gun, which makes for a more comfortable carry. The additional point of contact also keeps your weapon more secure.
What Are the Features of the Vedder Holster Claw?
Easily attaches to most LightTuck models using a simple drill and a few pieces of hardware that come included with the claw.
Claw is made of a composite polymer with a two-part resin to give it added strength.
Works in nearly every concealed carry position.
What do you get when you buy the Vedder Holster Claw?
Order comes with a template and an extended retention screw to help you attach the claw using your original post and retention spacer.
Claw comes with detailed attachment instructions.
For instructions on how to attach the claw to your existing LightTuck, check out our video tutorial at www.VedderHolsters.com/clawinstall.
* Please note that due to the LightTuck holster’s wide range of adjustability, the claw may not be ideal in all carry positions/angles. If you prefer to carry your LightTuck in the deepest adjustment level or with a strong degree of reverse cant, the claw may not make the necessary contact with your belt to be effective.

Well as is reads in the description (just noticed it ordered my claw before seeing it) smaller platform Lighttuck holsters may not be compatible with the claw for two reasons - 1) the holster itself being of a minimalist design may not have enough room to drill the extra hole. 2) the smaller sized pistols like Kahr CW380, Ruger LCP, S&W Bodyguard, etc. usually don't need the extra "sucking into the body" for non printing. But being a Vedders, I ordered 2 claws, 1 for my lighttuck and 1 for other holsters I have around. My Lighttuck which is my favorite holster of the many different styles and manufacturer's I been through. With that being said, I did successfully install a claw on my Kahr CW380 Lighttuck holster - the added hole is pretty close to the edge of the holster which is why I can see why Vedders doesn't recommend the claw for the pocket / micro pistols, but still "doable". As per the description it does what it supposed to do - brings the handle in closer to the body as the claw is well designed to push up against the inside of the waistband. It is very trim, sturdy, and not in the way of the draw for appendix to 5:00 position, and retains the "tuckability" of the holster. Very glad I purchased this upgrade to my Vedders, and to add to any other holster that has enough room to drill the second hole. I would say that it really would come into play as far as functionality goes when it comes to the sub compact to mid to full size pistols to keep the handle in, but for the smaller micros, it's not really needed but doesn't hurt to have.

I purchased the claw in conjunction with my new LightTuck (definitely the way to go, a few bucks cheaper and the holes come drilled already). Although I'm planning on switching to a RapidTuck (the LightTuck was just digging in funny on me), I would say this attachment is a MUST HAVE for anybody with a LightTuck who plans on carrying appendix even a little! The gun goes from barely printing in a loose fitting black shirt, to no printing what so ever in a tight fitting light grey shirt (with extended mag). I've also found that the twisting of the holster does aid in the comfort department a bit for me personally. I was planning on getting an aftermarket claw and modifying my LightTuck to take it, but when I saw Vedder added this, the choice was easy, I saved $10 and didn't have to hope that it would work. True, I may be switching away from the LightTuck, it's still a fine holster, just not right for me, but I couldn't be happier that Vedder is now offering this as part of their line and you would be a fool not to get it unless you walk around wearing a down jacket year-round.

I first want to say that I currently own six Vedder Light Tuck holsters. So, I apparently think they are very well made product offering adjustability for carry depth and cant. I might add, that there customer service is impeccable. With that being said, I don't think the Claw attachment was engineered very well. There are three positions for carry depth. If you choose the top holes for deepest concealment, the Claw is not long enough to catch your belt with the 1 1/2" belt clip. I had to choose the bottom setting for highest ride height for the claw to engage the bottom half of my belt. **VH COMMENT** I am sorry to hear that your claw does not meet you needs. Due to the high degree of adjustability of the LightTuck holster, it is possible that the claw may not be effective in the low ride height positions. I will certainly pass your feedback on to our product development team for future product improvements. We appreciate your business and you taking the time to share your experience.

I love the new claw. It eliminated the protrusion of the Shield's butt from the waistband. Easy to apply and works very well. It does put more stress on the waistband and belt, and I am unsure what effect, if any, this will have long range. The pistol definitely prints less with this attachment! I heartily recommend it.

Well worth $6.00! I carry the small Glock 26 with a longer, 15 round magazine in a Vedder LightTuck (IWB-Appendix). That means the pistol grip is difficult to conceal. The Claw is very effective in forcing the longer pistol grip in closer to my body. I can now wear shirts that are not quite so baggy to avoid printing. Tip-1: The template provided was too long to sit properly while preparing to drill the required hole. So I ground both ends of the template to get it to fit is the small space on the holster. (This wouldn't be a problem for a pistol with a longer barrel.) Tip-2: Just like in the video, my holster is pure black. To make it easier for me to see the mark to drill the hole I first applied a piece of masking tape to the holster. That made it easier for me to see the mark on the holster and drill it accrately. Tip-3: After a test fit of The Claw in the 2 holes, a corner of The Claw was protruding outside the normal profile of the holster. A quick touch-up at the belt sander was the final step in fitting. Again, larger guns probably won't have this problem. I wish that the part of The Claw that is made to contact my belt was longer. I wear a heavy 1 1/2" leather gun belt. With the cant that I prefer The Claw is only touching about 1/3 of my belt. Chuck
