“It works perfect so my tailgate can open all the way for my truck. My one grip is you do loose that clearance. I have a f150 with a 2" lift and if it wasn't for that I would have definitely hit it in certain situations you just need to really pay attention.”

“We have a Mercedes Metris (2016) that has a 2.5 inch lift and with a full rear liftgate (not the barn/cargo doors). Adding this adaptor allows us access the entirety of the trunk area with bikes on the rack and without having to lay the rack in a full flat mode. The door stops about halfway up the released, load/unload position, so we do have to bend down to access it, but it's easy and has made it it super efficient. We don't feel or see any additional sway or wobble with the rack. (To be fair, our old rack before we got the Velocirax, pretty much did the hula at all times, so there's that.)
