“Based on how pleased I was with my Chelsea weekend boots, (which I TRULY love), I bought the Stormburst. They are very comfortable and fit well, but I find they are difficult to put on. I had hip replacement surgery in the fall and find that it is difficult for me to push that hard to get the boot on. And once on, I still have to fiddle with the cuff to get it in place. As a result, I am not wearing them as often as would like - it's not a quick slip on and out the door situation. I can appreciate that the cuff helps in the waterproof factor, but it does interfere with putting on the boot.”

We're so sorry to hear your Stormbursts aren't fitting as you'd hoped and you are finding them difficult to get on. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start.
Over the first few wears of your shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
I totally understand your worry about the tightness, but I can assure you that the opening will start to loosen up within the next few wears.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
