Hi Michelle I don't usually give perfect ratings on anything so don't worry coz I always believe there's always room for improvement - in everything :) To be honest, I haven't tried it on a puddle or rain outdoors. Why? Coz it might get dirty (yeah, I'm a bit fuzzy about clean shoes) and I don't get to walk out daily. I drive out of our garage to our office' parking lot, so not a chance for me to test it out on rainy days. I was surprised and amazed how light the pair is. It can compare to the runners or sneakers from Nike, etc.. I even think they're lighter. If you want my honest opinion, just two things I need to mention: 1) shoe entry -> for someone like me with a wide feet, shoes were a bit tight when slipping it on. The length (shoe size) is perfect, it's just the entry. 2) the rubber sole -> a bit narrow, again, for someone like me with a wide feet. It's like the sole of my feet is sneaking out the edges of the rubber sole. I like my feet planted firmly when walking, standing. Those are pretty much what I can share for now. But like my title, it's a must have for someone who lives in Vancity. More power to all of you. Edward

This review is about fit and feel; shipping would require another review. As does customer service, which, so far, is simply some of the best I've encountered in years. So, I'm a 9.5; I ordered a 10. Good thing, too. The forefoot is quite snug, while the toe box still is, perhaps, too roomy. The biggest issue, so far, is the heel: in both sides I experience heel slipping out of the shoe unless I wear thick, winter socks. Summer socks appear to be too thin for these--unless I order a 9, which would then be way too small in the forefoot. So, I need more than a couple of days to adequately provide a comprehensive review.

I use my Vessi’s everyday for work. I work at an auto detailing shop so I’m constantly getting wet. Being able to keep my feet dry by the end of the day is a huge plus. I will say that the shoes are not breathable whatsoever however they do they’re primary job perfectly. Another note: the outsides of both shoes are already showing some wear. The exterior fabric is starting to fray a bit. Hasn’t effected the performance of the shoes as of yet, just a cosmetic thing.

Living in the Northeast and being able to trudge through the snow and then walk into clients houses and easily take off shoes, care for pets in client homes, slip the shoes back on and stomp back through another several inches of snow ... it’s been a game changer. My feet have been comfy warm and dry through a season of rain sleet and snow!

They are very comfy and look great. I love the waterproofing. I might get a second pair as more of a utility pair and one for going out. They are hard to get used to. I wonder if there are some tricks to getting them on, but they are very hard for me (the heal gets trapped under my foot and it is hard to pull out. One thing is for certain, once you get them on, they are a snug shoe and comfy.

Hi Ryan, Thank you for leaving us a review! It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for! Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. We recommend a shoehorn in the meantime! Glad you love them!

I ordered a size down, as recommended. They fit a bit tighter than my every day pair, but other than that, no complaints. Puddles quiver with fear when they see me coming.

These took a day or two to break in and really feel comfortable on my feet (I've got pretty narrow feet so there's a little wiggle room with the stretch of the material) but now they just kinda feel like a waterproof sock. Been wearing them for video shoots and have had no problems with comfort, mobility, or walking through snow or puddles. Excited to see where these shoes will take me next.
