“I like the feeling of comfort and knowing my feet will stay dry. I wear these when bartending outdoor musical events when we are often having to dump water out of the product bins. I no longer worry about being in the line of "fire" and having to finish my shift in soggy shoes.”
“I am up and down all day at work and like the supportive fit. I find myself gravitating to them for weekend errands and dog walking as I know they can handle a change in weather or a surprise puddle.”
“Very comfortable, I typically wear custom orthotics but find with these I don't need them! Easy to put on and take off, versatile, and easy to style with a variety of outfits. I'm a nurse so the waterproof aspect is a must and they have saved my socks on more occasions than I can count!”
“They fit really well. I learned from my last pair that I could go down a size, so these fit even better than my last ones. So far, very waterproof. They have really good support and deep heel cup. I am very pleased.”
“They are pretty comfortable on the cushion area, but the right shoe on my big toe is considerably tighter and tends to smush during the day. And I'm unable to wear ankle socks (which is all I wear) because every step rubs against my ankle and creates a very sore spot. But, I do like that they are slip on and water proof. So that's cool.”
Hi Kyle,
We're so happy to hear you've been enjoying the waterproofing and ease of your Vessis. We are sorry to hear however that they aren't fitting as you'd hoped.
It’s actually normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate to tailor to your foot shape. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle, and the only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape.
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. Lots of customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by inserting a pair of balled up socks in the shoes where you need a bit more room.
Please reach out to our Customer Care Team at support@vessi.com if you have any questions and they'd be happy to help!
“I bought an additional pair of these shoes as I am planning a walking tour later this year. They really are fabulous. They are comfortable from day 1 and I've never had a blister from them. My feet are nice and dry!! Great shoes”
