“I was hoping Vessi could be the answer to the best of two worlds...cute walking shoe that is waterproof that is comfortable for every day wear. Unfortunately, the compression around my high instep made it impossible to wear. My toes were getting numb. I tried loosening up the laces the best I could but it didn't help. I could see where the stretchy material could work for a different type of shoe wearer but for someone like me that has a barrow foot, small heel cup, high under arch and instep, it just fit too tight.”

We’re sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis too tight. The material works similar to how socks fit, in the sense that it adapts to your foot shape. The more you wear them, the more it gives and stretches to mold to you. Therefore, it’s actually quite normal for your Vessis to be a little snug to start. Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.

We’re sorry to hear your Vessis aren't as breathable as you'd expected. While normal shoes will always be more breathable than waterproof shoes, Vessis were designed to be a much more breathable alternative to other waterproof footwear like rubber boots.
