“The fit was at first a little scary because I took the half size smaller from 8.5 to 8. It fit like a dream. Perfect. So comfy and best of all ready for spring rain.”
“I wore them for the first time today. I am a hairdresser, on my feet most of the day. Perhaps my socks were too thin, but the backs rubbed on my heels. I, too may have laced them too taunt. As a result, my feet generally were a bit, not sore just fatigued. Once I loosened the laces, the swelling went down.”
Hi Ellen,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.
I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing discomfort at the back of your ankles from your shoes. Our ankle opening is a little firm to start, therefore you could experience some discomfort before it stretches out to perfectly accommodate your feet. I would definitely recommend giving your feet time to heal before giving your shoes a try again. Here are a few tips that can help once you start wearing your shoes again.
Wearing thicker socks that provide extra cushioning on that area will give the shoes time to adjust to your foot. Adding something to cover up that area will allow the shoes to adjust to your foot so they can fit you perfectly. Finally, another thing you can try doing is to insert a pair of heel liners into your Vessis for more cushioning. Heel stickers from Dr. Scholls can work really well too.
That said, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product team, as we are always looking to improve. We'll use your insight towards our research and development for our future design improvements.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on your Vessis with us.
“I have large bunions so I like that these shoes are soft, wide and secure on my feet, thus extremely comfortable walking and standing for long periods. The bonus is that I can wear them in dry or wet weather. Very important in rainy Vancouver.”
“I love the fact that they actually fit my feet comfortably. After standing and walking all day my feet tend to swell and these accommodate that nicely. Also now I don’t get wet feet in the mornings when I walk across my yard to feed my chickens. Win win”
