“At first I was scared because they were really hard to get on because they were so tight, but since then they have loosened and formed better to my foot every time I wear them! I haven’t tested out the waterproofing too much but from what I did test they seem to work as they claim. Love love love everything about these shoes!”
“These are perfect shoes! I work as a delivery person so am out running around in all kinds of weather and my feet are no longer wet on rainy days but I'm still able to run around easily! I workout in them as well and they are great for it especially with how the support is!”
“These shoes are awesome! They work great for my dog grooming business as im always getting splashed with water. The only downside is that they don't have the most comfortable sole. They aren't all that great for standing on your feet all day. But if you are looking for a waterproof shoe for hiking or a walk outside then these are for you!”

Thanks for taking the time to leave us this great review! We're really glad that your Vessis are keeping you dry while you're at work. We designed Vessis as a casual/lifestyle shoe, which means there's not a lot of arch support included. That said, the insoles are removable so you're always able to swap those for something you find more comfortable! Happy puddle hunting :)
“I love my Vessi’s! I’m a nurse and am on my feet for 12+ hrs per day and my Vessi Everyday runners are so comfortable. I try to walk outside on my breaks and love knowing my feet will stay warm and dry! The only thing I noticed is the laces come undone more easily than other runners I’ve worn for work in the past. Could be the waterproof coating? If I double knot them, they hold up! I definitely recommend Vessi and love that they are a local Vancouver based company! My pup seems to love them too! Lol”

I’m really upset about it because these are the most expensive shoes I’ve owned. I can’t say I would buy another pair if they’re going to get messed up”

Oh no, we're so sorry to hear that and can certainly understand your disappointment! The soles are made out of EVA foam that helps keep our shoes lightweight and flexible, but not as durable as traditional rubber or plastic. If you feel that the scratches affect the waterproof function of the shoe, please reach out to us and we can definitely get that sorted out for you!
“I like the design and sleekness of the shoe. They seem like a good sturdy shoe. Only downside so far, is the tightness around ankle Which makes them difficult to slip on.
Other than that I have recommended my husband buy a pair.”

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for!
