“I kept seeing Vessi ads everywhere and they looked so appealing especially since I hate wearing big heavy boots when it rains. I wanted a stylish waterproof sneaker and this was it. When I got it in the mail, I wore it immediately and tested it in the tub and it was completely waterproof! I wore it to work and it was comfy, except for the left front of the opening of the shoe dug into my ankle and made it uncomfortable. It was a bit tight, but after a few wears, it didn't bother me anymore. Weird it was just one side! Anyways, I still loved my vessis so much. No water seeped in for 6 months, but then all of a sudden one rainy day, I felt my socks get damp. I was pretty upset, but thankfully they have a wonderful warrantee policy and I was able to get another pair sent in the mail. Great sneaker and great customer service!”

“Got this product back in August because I needed a new running shoe and my work always has liquids dropping onto my shoes so why not try these? I refrained from adding a review until winter hit because that would be the true test of how waterproof they were. I was not disappointed. Instead of having to put some boots on to run in the snow while walking dogs, I just go outside. My feet stay warm because they don’t get wet and I’m knee deep in snow. I am shocked and absolutely love them. Will definitely be buying another style/pair.
Only negative things I can say are that I don’t like how the soles flare out but that’s just a small aesthetic issue that I can overlook and the laces unravel really easily unless you double knot them which I’m not in the business of doing. Love these shoes otherwise though and highly recommend!”

“I've wasted so much money on shoes that claim to be waterproof and water resistant, and I'm so relieved to finally have found the real deal. I've been wearing these on hour-long dog walks 3x a day in the pouring PNW rain and they haven't skipped a beat. I stepped in a 2-inch deep puddle the other day and my socks and feet were still completely dry. Definitely true to size. They were tight around the sides, which they said to expect, but the distance from my big toe to the end of the shoe was perfect and the sides settled in a few days like Vessi said they would. I took 1 star off because while the quality is unmatched, they're not very flattering. The area around the ball of my foot is really wide and it makes me look like I'm wearing clown shoes. Also, the shoelaces keep coming untied, about 2-3 times during my hour-long walks which is a pain in the neck. My no show socks keep getting pushed down under my heel too which doesn't happen with my other sneakers. Still the best quality rain shoe I've ever had, so worth a couple inconveniences and lack of style.”

“My vessis are sooo comfy, I can wear them all day everyday, and they are 100% waterproof....I was hesitant at first but to experience it, it’s magical....They embrasse your feet, which makes your feet feel supported and they stretch so you don’t need to untie and tie your shoes everytime, you can just slip your feet in.”
“I got the everyday shoe in all black and it looked amazing! Unfortunately I gambled on ordering a smaller size because I am in-between and the shoes ended up being too small. I sold them to my sister and am eagerly awaiting the restock!”

“I bought one size down from my actual shoe size and they fit like a dream - lots of space for my wide feet and a really nice wide sole that prevents ankle rolling. Absolutely no water gets in these bad boys, even in the torrential rain we've been having lately. Plus they look super clean and stylish with any outfit.
The only downside is that there is barely any tread - so when I'm out walking on rainy days I have to take care to avoid mud, wet grass or even too-smooth concrete, otherwise I'll slide around like a graceless figure skater. I'd say these are great city shoes, but I'd love to see an 'off road' Vessi model with more substantial tread.”

We did design Vessis to be slip-resistant with the Herringbone pattern of the tread but they aren't completely slip-proof. We definitely do want to improve this aspect in our future lines, but for now, we'll share your feedback with the rest of the team as we're always looking for ways to improve!
