“I received my Vessis literally 6 hours ago, I bought my husband and myself a pair. I could not wait for my pair of light weight, comfortable, waterproof shoes for everyday wear and walking around the neighborhood in all seasons. Super disappointed that I paid so much for a shoe that is so uncomfortable and actually painful to wear (I tried them on inside as per suggestion even then they were a bit uncomfortable at the arch and sole, but thought if I just walk around the block it will be okay). I am slim and do not have abnormal feet or am I at an age where shoes need to be orthopaedic to be comfortable. Unfortunately, that did not work and now I cannot return them. I could honestly not wait to take them off!! My husband loves is pair, so at least one of us is happy :( I am sad though.”
Thank you for taking the time to write to us, we always appreciate it when our customers reach out.
In regards to the shoe feeling a bit tight, it’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for!
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. We recommend a shoehorn in the meantime.
As for the support, being a lifestyle / casual to lightly active shoe, Vessis have relatively low arch support, but we made the insoles removable to allow the most customizable fit for those wanting to wear them for longer distances or for those that need extra support! We would definitely suggest trying a new insole and letting us know if that would work better for you. We find Dr. Scholl's provides a variety of options, one that will hopefully best suite you.
We hope some of this helps you. If you have any further feedback or questions, please do not hesitate to let us know.
“Honestly one of the worst purchases i’ve ever made. On the website the shoes look so much better than the clown looking shoes i received, not only did they look horrible my feet have never hurt more after wearing these. And not to mention i can’t even return them now so i’m out 130 dollars on shoes i’ll never wear again.”
