Glad to hear you're enjoying your shoes! It’s normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate and create the perfect shape around your feet. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle. The only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape. This creates that snug, sock like fit that we are loved for!

“I was so excited to get these shoes during their Black Friday sale! I’ve always wanted shoes that I could wear in the rain without the issue of having wet socks (gross!). After wearing them for a day, I think they’re absolutely great and 100% water proof. I’ve been jumping into puddles just to test them out and they do not disappoint! The only weird thing is that if your shoes get wet, they do leave a little wet looking stain on the shoe, but rest assured, your feet aren’t actually wet! And the “stain” comes right out if you just pat it dry! Also, the arch support isn’t fantastic, but it’s still better than nothing! The shoes look kinda like clown shoes simply because of how they’re shaped, but that just makes it more unique in my opinion. The shoes aren’t hard to slip on at all and you basically don’t need to tie them either! Also, my socks use to slip out while wearing other shoes, but these vessis have no problem holding up my socks!! Also, if you get the white sole shoes, do wary that they get dirty pretty easily, but cmon, they’re sneakers, they’re supposed to get dirty! One more thing, I never thought I’d spend >$100 on sneakers that aren’t like air max or something, but these were definitely worth the price. I just love that I can literally submerge my shoes into water without having wet socks!!!!
TLDR:
Pro: would recommend, minimalist style, versatile - great for every day walking, W A T E R P R O O F!
Con: little arch support, weird wet “stain” that’s removable, and dirties easily. These were the reasons why I had to give it a 4-star review.”
