“I ordered these shoes a few weeks ago. I am normally 10.5, and while the company recommends going to a size 11, I decided to order both a 10 and 11 to compare fits. The size 10 was too small, as my toes were squished, and the size 11 seemed to fit. I've worn these shoes in a variety of settings and have the following thoughts. First, the technology is AMAZING, I can't believe that it has kept my feet dry in the places that I've gone. Great job, Vessi! Despite the technology, the fit is not good for my particular foot. The sock-like upper is too big for my foot, so I have to tie the laces very tight (and even then, the opening for my foot looks odd). Tight or not, my foot moves around too much, especially when walking even slightly uphill. I dare not try to jog or move quickly in these to chase my son. I've worn sock-like shoes before (I've had multiple Nike Free shoes) and never had this problem.
So, while I would have loved to love this shoe (especially since they are a local company) , I can't say that I would buy it again, given how it has fit my particular foot. I would probably try a gore-tex trail running shoe or something.”

“Got the Weekends today. They fit snug and comfy like a knit runner and look like a casual sneaker. They’re pricey, but I was looking for something water proof for outdoor time in North Van this fall. So far they don’t seem very breathable, which Is to be expected from a waterproof product.”

Waterproof shoes compared to normal non-waterproof shoes will be less breathable as they are designed to keep water out. Vessi, compared to conventional waterproof shoes like rubber boots or hiking boots, will be more breathable because of its knit structure.
Here are some tips to help increase the breathability of your shoes:
1.) Wear your shoes with socks - Cotton socks tend to help wick moisture and heat away from your feet. When you are wearing your shoes without socks on, the cozy inner layer acts as your socks and absorbs your sweat, which may wear them down over time
2.) Size up - If the fit of your shoes are too tight, the feeling of stuffiness may become more apparent. I recommend going up a size to allow more room for you to wiggle your toes.
