“It’s says they fit on the larger size and to order down to the next size. They are extremely tight at the opening and cut off the circulation and the ankle.”
Hi Mckinnon,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear you’re finding your Vessis too tight. For some reference, however, it’s actually quite normal for the ankle opening to be a little snug to start. Over the first few wears of your new shoes, you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate your foot shape. By starting tighter, this allows the shoe to mold to your ankle shape - making sure no water seeps in through the ankle opening.
Some customers use a shoehorn in the meantime, which should help. You can also speed up the stretching process by leaving a few pairs of thick socks balled up inside the shoes overnight.
That said, I'll be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product team, as we are always looking to improve. We'll use your insight towards our research and development for our future design improvements.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on your Vessis with us.
“Bought these shoes for myself and loving them. Super comfortable and it feels like you are wearing slippers! I have worn them when chasing my grandkids thru the parks and they keep my feet dry. Also perfect for walking the dog!”
“Great toe room for wider feet. Not much break in required. The only thing I've noticed is that my feet gets very warm in these shoes in just minutes of walking. I suspect it has to be because of the water resistant material...but it's something to note.”
