“I really love my Vessis! I ordered them for the waterproof quality but they have become the shoes I reach for almost everyday! They are comfortable and stylish. I found them to be lightweight and breathable as well! Unfortunately, I've not had the opportunity to try out the waterproof feature but as soon as we get some precipitation I plan on jumping in some puddles!”
“I can't speak to the water resistance of these shoes just yet, as it's winter in Canada and I need shoes with really good traction for walking on snow/ice. However, I will say they are extremely comfortable! I wore them around my house - with my orthotics - and they are amazing. My feet feel light and cushioned, and I don't have to tie them tight, which is great. I hate it when my feet feel constricted.
I will say that this design says it runs big and that you should size down. I have narrow feet, but length-wise they are a solid 9, sometimes an 8.5 in shoes that run big. I ordered the 8 based on the instructions for this style, but they were a little too short for comfort. When I got the 9, my toes were definitely more comfortable (I only have around a quarter inch space between my toe and the end of the shoe, which is how most size 9 shoes fit me), but the shoe does run wide. I'd suggest that if you are standard in a whole size without much deviation, get your normal size for the length with the understanding that they do run wide. I have custom orthotics, so I just put them in on top of the Vessi insole and they are perfect. I can tighten them a bit with the laces, but I'm used to most shoes being too wide for me as it's hard to find narrow shoes. So for me, it's not a huge issue now that my orthotics are keeping my feet from sloshing around.
I suspect the regular Vessi styles run more true to size and possibly narrower. But I like the weekend style for looks, so I'm keeping these wonderful shoes! Can't wait to try them in the spring when the snow is melting, and of course in the summer, too. It will definitely be nice to have dry feet!”
