“These are my go to shoes! Best shoes for walking the dog in the morning through wet grass! The only shoes I need for travel are the vessi’s on my feet!”
“It’s a fun design and it looks pretty good for a waterproof shoe. Unfortunately, other than looks it lacks in performance. My heel constantly slips out the back, making for an uncomfortable experience despite my toes being tight in the front. This is more or less forgiveable, but as a travel shoe I’d hoped the sole would be more comfortable. The bottom of my feet were in immense pain after only one day. I wore these for one day in Japan and could not bear to wear it for any other days on the trip.”
Hi Shea,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We’re sorry to hear your Vessis aren't providing you the amount of comfort you're looking for, we can imagine how disappointing that must be.
As a casual/city shoe, Vessis do provide relatively low arch support. Some people love this, while others find it doesn’t work well for them. This is why we made the insoles removable so you have the option of using your own inserts for a more customized fit and comfort.
If you're finding your heel slips, you could try out heel grips and see how they may help! You should be able to find these available at local retailers or online and several customers have reached out to let us know that they work well for them.
That said, we’ll certainly share your thoughts with the rest of the team as we feel it is important to take into consideration all of the feedback we receive from our customers.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts on your Vessis with us.
“I bought these for a Europe trip and decided to “break them in” beforehand at a work event. These were so comfy right out of the box! I wore them for 12 hours straight, on my feet in the rain for multiple hours and they were still comfy & dry at the end of the day. They didn’t need any break-in time after all! I’m a size 9 and ordered a 9 and found these to be perfect. They feel roomy but there’s no lift in the heel when I walk. I’m excited to wear them throughout my Euro trip.”
“I have wide feet and found that I had to loosen the laces because the bottom on my feet were burning. But then my heel slips out. I've added a heel pad to see if that helps. Hoping these are comfortable enough to wear in Italy.”
“I really like these so far. They are a little stiffer than a sneaker - more like a skate shoe - which I don't mind. I LOVE that I don't have water flicking up and soaking my toes when it rains. They do run large, so I will definitely purchase one size down next time to compare.”
