“After a delivery disaster from the shipping company a simple message to Vessi fixed then issue. They reshipped with a different carrier and we received them quickly.
The shoes were a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves them! She says they are very comfortable.”
“Fit, comfort, 100% waterproof. Noticed some slipping on wet surfaces at work but that could be partially due to a detergent that we use for hospital floors...great shoe though”
“I like the style and it was my first Vessi shoes, but the outside heel sole was poorly made. I used it for few months only and seldom used it at all. It worned out like an old tire. Vessi sent me an email for review and comment about the shoes and they exchanged it.”
“I’m a PE teacher so I often have to set up equipment on wet grass in the morning. Since I got my Vessi sneakers, my feet have been totally dry all day! So much more comfortable than the soggy shoes and socks I was used to. And I can still run around with my students comfortably!”
“The design is beautiful and the waterproof is great. However, I did not find the shoe comfortable. The main problems for me were lack of arch support and not the shoe is not confortable around the ankles. Still, I will keep them for rainh days...”
Hi Ana,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback with us, we really appreciate it!
We're so happy to hear you have been enjoying the design and waterproofing of Vessis so far. We're sorry to hear, however, that you aren't finding them as comfortable as you'd hoped.
We designed Vessi as a casual/lifestyle shoe, which means there's not a lot of arch support included. That said, the insoles are removable so you're always able to swap those for something you find more comfortable.
As for the ankles being too snug it’s actually normal for the ankle opening to be a little firm to start! Over the first few wears of your new shoes you’ll notice that the upper knit and ankle opening will stretch to accommodate to tailor to your foot shape. The reason you want this is to make sure no water comes in through the ankle, and the only way to ensure this is if you allow the shoe to mold to your ankle shape. In order to do that, you do need them to be tight at first and then only stretch when they’ve learned your specific foot shape.
Not to worry, after a few more wears the ankle opening will have loosened up to become the perfect fit for your feet. Lots of customers use a shoehorn in the meantime. You can also place a pair of balled up socks inside the shoes to help speed up the stretching process.
