“I got the Weekend Sneaker in marble white a few months ago and now I want to wear only these shoes! They are so lightweight, extremely comfortable and fit my custom orthotics. On every pair of regular running shoes (no matter the brand), after a few months the padding behind my heel wears through and the fabric rips to expose plastic which rubs against and irritates my heel, but these don't have padding there so there's nothing to wear away. I wore my Vessis all over Ireland this Fall and when I got caught in Storm Agnes, I was absolutely drenched; my umbrella snapped and broke, and despite rain gear every part of me was soaked except for my feet which were warm and dry in my Vessis. When I realized during this torrential downpour that they really were waterproof, in addition to being so comfortable, I was thrilled! They were perfect for travel and I wear them almost daily at home. The only downside I have found is that they are hard to keep clean. In the early days, I washed them after every couple of wears as they quickly appeared dirty even when I was just wearing them around town. (Someone laughed at me when I would take them off and put on old runners for walks on a dirt path because I hated to see them get dirtier.) I tried the various cleaning methods recommended by Vessi and some worked better than others; I brought supplies to clean them while travelling and I kept them white-ish for a while but now I've kind of given up. Aside from that I love these shoes - they are perfect for Vancouver's weather!”
