“I really need an 8 1/2. The 9 is too big so I purchased an 8 which is a half size down, as recommended. Although I love the fit mostly, it is just not very comfortable to walk around in for a full day.”

I'm sorry to hear you have been experiencing discomfort at the back of your ankles from your shoes. Our ankle opening is a little firm to start, therefore you could experience some discomfort before it stretches out to perfectly accommodate your feet. I would definitely recommend giving your feet time to heal before giving your shoes a try again. Here are a few tips that can help once you start wearing your shoes again.
Wearing thicker socks that provide extra cushioning on that area will give the shoes time to adjust to your foot. Adding something to cover up that area will allow the shoes to adjust to your foot so they can fit you perfectly. Finally, another thing you can try doing is to insert a pair of heel liners into your Vessis for more cushioning. Heel stickers from Dr. Scholls can work really well too.

“This was my first online purchase from Vessi. I'm pleased that the site mentioned that the size is slightly bigger so size down and, I did. The fit is perfect. I did not realize it was a slip on sneaker with laces; however, it works for me. I would say for those with high arches, this might be challenging to "slip" on. I'm looking forward to wearing them soon.”
