Our Island Pony Orka, (fem.) has diagnosed cushing for over 5 years. She had big issues with the legs. With Prascend we could decrease the issues to the minimum. She currently gets two tablets per day. This seems to be her best dosis.

This is a very costly drug. It is currently the only medication I can give to an equine to control his Cushings disease, and unfortunately he is on the highest safe dose he can have (4 tablets a day). It has given the horse a longer, more comfortable life with less risk of the recurrence of Cushings related laminitis. It is (apparently) unpalatable and involves trial, error and a good dollop of cunning to get equines to ingest it. If the company did not produce this drug my horse would have had a much shorter life, but, negatively, not everyone would either choose to, or be able to, afford it. This is what happens when meds. are supplied under licence - monopoly has you between a rock and a hard place.
