Bakuchiol, also known as Bakuchi Oil or Babchi, is a plant-derived, natural alternative to retinol derived from the seeds of the Psoralea Corylifolia plant. Bakuchiol benefits skin due to its ability to enhance collagen production, increase cell turnover and provide antioxidant protection, giving you softer, smoother, plumper skin with fewer lines and wrinkles just like retinol without inflammation.
Bakuchiol benefits skin with its ability to calm spots and redness-prone skin, helping to reduce the appearance of pigmentation problems, photo-damage, and seal in hydration. Bakuchiol oil does not cause peeling, dryness or increased sun sensitivity associated with retinol use.

What is Bakuchiol? Bakuchiol is a small molecule extracted from the seed of Psoralea corylifolia, also known as the Babchi plant, that is a more tolerable alternative to Retinol.
Why is Bakuchiol a better alternative to Retinol?While retinol may dry out skin or cause irritation, bakuchiol is more gentle and isn't known to cause any irritation.
Does Bakuchiol cause any reactions to sun exposure? No, but although Sytenol® A Bakuchiol does not contain any photosensitisers, we would nevertheless recommend using an SPF during the day.
How often should I use this Bakuchiol Serum?A product formulated with 1% bakuchiol can be used twice a day on the face.
Is Super Bakuchiol by Dose an oil or a serum? It is an oil-based serum.
When do you use this serum?Apply morning and night after cleansing and after the use of other serums.
Can this be used on the neck?Yes, Super Bakuchiol Serum is safe to use on the neck.
Will this Bachuchiol Face Serum work on oily skin?Bachuchiol is antioxidant-rich and fast-absorbing, with a non-greasy texture. Since it is very balancing, it can be used by those with combination to oily skin.
Can Super Bakuchiol Serum be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?Whilst generally recommended safe to use during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding it is always advisable to seek medical advice from your healthcare professional before introducing any new products into your skincare regime.
The colour of my serum is different to my previous one. Is this normal?Due to the high percentage of natural extracts, this serum is naturally scented and colour may vary.
What is an active ingredient and what does it mean?An "active ingredient" refers to the specific component or substance within a product that provides a therapeutic or beneficial effect on the skin. Active ingredients are typically responsible for targeting and addressing specific skin concerns.
How can I maximise the longevity and effectiveness of my serum?Keep away from direct sunlight, avoid extreme temperatures, seal the container properly to minimise air exposure and avoid moisture and humidity and pay attention to the period after opening symbol. Layering products in the correct order, such as applying serums before moisturisers, can optimise their absorption and effectiveness.
Do I need to wear an SPF while using Super Bakuchiol Serum?It is recommended to always apply SPF as the last step in your skincare routine.

Can I recycle my DoSe packaging?We are committed to sustainability. Our DoSe skincare range packaging is designed to be eco-friendly and recyclable. The cardboard box, insert and glass container can be easily recycled. However, please note that the pump is not recyclable. We encourage you to properly dispose of it according to local waste management guidelines.
Are DoSe products non-comedogenic and cruelty free?All DoSe products are non-comedogenic and not tested on animals.
