CholestSafe supplement combines the actions of Red Yeast Rice, Policosanols, Phytosterols, Coenzyme Q10, Chromium Polynicotinate, EPA and Artichoke Leaf Extract to help support high cholesterol levels.Red Yeast Rice contains a small amount of lovastatin together with numerous other compounds that have been clinically evaluated and shown to reduce elevated cholesterol levels by approximately 30% within eight weeks without any side effects. Red Yeast Rice also contains Monacolin K which naturally helps to balance the ratio of HDLs (good cholesterol) to LDLs (bad cholesterol) by inhibiting the action of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver.CholestSafe capsules also contain artichoke which help to support the liver since this is the primary gland that manufactures and destroys cholesterol.
