HealthAid Creatine Monohydrate Powder provides maximum energy release to help with intense physical activity and can help increase muscle gain and lean body mass.
Creatine is actually an amino acid, which is known as the building blocks of protein. It is a natural substance that is rapidly absorbed in the body. Creatine supplements are available in capsules and powder and are a natural energy source that is used in muscle and nerve tissue and is stored in muscle cells as creatine phosphate (phosphocreatine). Phosphocreatine is the important factor that forms ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), one of the body's quick energy molecules.
Creatine replenishes the ATP lost during muscular contraction, allowing prolonged, intense activity.  Creatine monohydrate powder increases phosphocreatine levels in the muscle, particularly when accompanied by exercise or carbohydrate intake, resulting in an effective energy transfer system across cells. Creatine Monohydrate benefits those involved in intense physical activity or simply to gain muscle strength for those who wish to protect the body against fragility concerns such as sarcopenia as they age.
HealthAid Creatine Monohydrate Powder is free from yeast, gluten, corn, wheat, starch, soy, sugar, salt, artificial colours, Preservatives and flavours.
Directions: As a food supplement, adults and children over 16 years take a loading dose of 8 grams of Creatine powder or two heaped teaspoons per day for seven days, then switch to a maintenance dose of 4 grams or one heaped teaspoon thereafter. Dissolve Creatine Monohydrate powder in warm water and drink. For those simply wishing to maintain muscle strength, take one teaspoon daily.
Our In-House pharmacist, Shabir Daya has written an article about Creatine Powder:
What is Sarcopenia?
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake unless advised by a suitably qualified person. Excessive intake can lead to adverse effects, such as dehydration, stomach upset, or muscle cramping. If pregnant or nursing, avoid use unless approved by a doctor.  If you have issues with your kidneys, consult a doctor due to potential strain on the kidneys.  Not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age unless advised by a healthcare provider.  Creatine can increase water retention in muscles. Drink plenty of water (at least 8–10 glasses daily) to stay hydrated and prevent dehydration. Creatine may interact with certain medications or supplements, particularly diuretics, caffeine, or stimulants. Check with a healthcare provider if you are using other products or on any medication.  Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Close the container lid firmly after use and avoid storing it in direct sunlight.
