The Saw Palmetto Berry contains extracts from the berries of the saw palmetto fan palm. Saw palmetto is a fan palm native to the West Indies and the Southeast coast of the United States, as it is mainly found in warm climates. The tree grows as a tree with deep purple berries. As a result of its ingredients such as fatty acids, plant sterols and flavonoids, the berries' extract has been used by traditional and alternative medicine for centuries.
Saw Palmetto supplement acts as a diuretic, urinary antiseptic and appetite stimulant. Saw Palmetto capsules also inhibit the production of dihydrotestosterone, a form of testosterone that contributes to enlargement of the prostate and to hair loss.
