“Seemingly not as good as the filled coconuts they have replaced. The latter were eaten very quickly and sometimes carried off by devious squirrels!. Think the problem is the new eco type holder is too smooth for the birds to cling onto whereas coconut halves are hairy and offer a good 'clingy' experience - even the starlings managed it. I have given a 3* rating as this mornng a couple of blue tits were 'having a go'.”
