Since buying from Vine House Farm we get a much wider range of birds in the garden. It is great to see the nuthatch on a regular basis. The only drawback is that supplies of seed run out more quickly than with previous types. Fortunately Vine House Farm provides a very fast delivery service to replenish stocks.

My wild birds prefer this to supermarket seeds

It’s great seed mix which all the garden birds seem to like - between them it all gets eaten - but the bag size has shrunk from 25kg to 20kg. This means the price has changed very slightly (which is ok, it’s minimal) but I have to order more often, making it less environmentally sound on the face of it, from packaging processes to more deliveries.

Just started using this instead of the premium seed I had before. It seems to be getting damp and forming a cake around the seed dispenser and this is leading to a blockage. As such, not as good as the premium seed which did this much less. This may be because more of the seed has been crushed.

I have moved my bird feeder to the top of my garden near some high trees which is a good hiding place for small birds. Since I have restarted using the Mixed seed the number of (particularly) small tits using it has increased greatly. The feeder I have hinders larger birds and seems to put off 'pesky' squirrels off.
