Dried Mealworms Reviews

4.9 Rating 539 Reviews
Read Vine House Farm Reviews

Our Dried Mealworms are a great source of protein and have been a real hit since we first introduced them. Dried mealworms have a similar level of fat and protein as the live equivalent.
What birds enjoy eating Dried Mealworms?
Dried mealworms will be eaten by most soft bill species and in particular Robins, Starlings and Blackbirds. House Sparrows will also eat them.
How do I feed Dried Mealworms to birds?
Dried Mealworms can be fed on their own, in a mealworm feeder or can be added to seed mixes. It’s very important that Dried Mealworms are soaked in water prior to feeding in the breeding season, as it is also the moisture that the young nestlings require.
How should I store dried mealworms?
They should be stored in a dry cool place.

Always a great big deal for the birds who absolutely love them and a joy for me to watch them feasting on them. Good value too.

Excellent product and well packaged. I have been adding them to my seed feeders as they come and the birds just love them. Have not yet soaked them to add more liquid to a bird’s diet but will do so in the future

Very useful extra rations for our garden birds - although the starlings get the majority as they seem to be waiting for me to put them out each day. Soaked for a while in warm water they seem an easy way to provide extra protein. Vine house Farm is always very quick to deliver and very efficient.

As advised, I always soften them in a little water first, before chucking them into the garden. I have a couple of blackbirds who wait for them every day, and I throw them in the shrub border where the bigger birds seem not to notice.
