With 50% more fat than our traditional Suet Fat Balls, our Super Suet Fat Balls are a firm favourite with garden birds and an extremely popular choice in most peoples' gardens. They are a valuable source of energy for a wide range of species, with the Tit family especially enjoying them. Made up of mealworm powder, peanut & wheat flour, finely ground & mixed with the suet, giving a pale finish. Beware of cheap suet balls as they can be mixed with sand, grit or sweepings to bulk them out

Our garden birds love the Super Suet Fat Balls, which are softer than the cheaper fat balls, and require less energy to peck pieces off. We use them in feeders specifically designed for holding them, and they attract birds of several species. Even the blackbirds get their share, picking up bits that fall to the ground. They're especially appreciated in the cold winter months, though they're enjoyed at all times of the year.

I wanted to reduce the amount of packaging that came with any fat balls that I ordered, so I ordered one box of 150 fat balls and was pleased to read that there was no plastic liner in the box. I was very disappointed that what arrived was a box of only 50 fat balls and that there was a plastic liner in the box. After I complained I was subsequently sent another two boxes of 50 fat balls to complete my order. The result was that instead of one cardboard box I received *three* cardboard boxes all with plastic liners. Packaging is a very important issue for me when ordering bird food online and in this case I am very disappointed and will not order these fat balls again.

Hello, Thank you for your feedback, I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you as this was a warehouse error in sending the wrong product out to you, our supplier did trial the Super Suet Fat Balls without the plastic liner but we found that numerous boxes were arriving damaged or with damaged goods inside, the supplier received all complaints and decided to put the liner back in the boxes to protect the integrity of the product.

The birds absolutely love these though my last batch was rather battered and lots of the balls had crumbled. This is unusual as they are normally very good quality.
