“I bought the Volumio Rivo about two years ago. As the Rivo works excellently and sounds just as good, I was curious to see whether the LINEO 5 would be an improvement on the standard power supply unit. In fact, I can only confirm what many people write in the Volumio forum! This power supply is the best addition to the Rivo streamer. A friend of mine has a very expensive streamer that cost around €13,000. When we compared the sound of our streamers, my friend was amazed to realise that there was virtually no difference between the two! LINEO 5 from Volumio - a clear recommendation from me! “I was skeptical about the difference in sound would be created by an LPS, but when paired with my Rivo plus, the most noticeable was the bass extension, and some tightening in the midrange. All of course, we're for the better. More obvious on my reference system of Chord, Sim Audio, Totem metals. Am tempted to try an LPS on my Chord gear now.”

“I'm not an audiophile expert, so what I say here is very impressionistic. I had had my Rivo for about a month before getting the Lineo5 and was very happy with it, but as soon as I used the latter, I found the sound, which was already enormously clear and with great separation, also sounded somehow more integrated - a single whole – although none of the clarity or separation was lost. I don't know how this works, or whether it is even possible, but that is how it struck, and continues to strike, me.”

“É la prima volta che sostituisco un'alimentazione di serie ad una delle mie apparecchiature hifi. Ero un po' scettico, ma ho voluto provare lo stesso ad affiancarlo al mio Rivo: e con grande sorpresa ho percepito la differenza immediatamente, dopo pochi secondi di ascolto. É cosí evidente il miglioramento, che non capisco perché il Lineo5 non venga venduto insieme al Rivo, o non venga incorporato nel Rivo. Il suono cambia, diventa piú dettagliato e vellutato allo stesso tempo. I piatti sono meno graffianti, e allo stesso tempo sono resi con maggiori sfumature. Stesso dicasi delle chitarre e delle voci. I bassi sono un pelo piú in evidenza, e piú articolati. Ascoltando dei pezzi jazz, il contrabbasso é senz'altro meglio rappresentato e distinguibile: anche nello spazio. Sí, perché anche la scena sonora é diventata piú dettagliata nello spazio, anche in profondità. Sono veramente soddisfatto di questo acquisto. Come recitava un vecchio slogan pubblicitario, "provare per credere".”

“Migliora su tutto, ma la cosa che più mi interessava era una più ampia e più coerente ricostruzione della Scena Sonora, e il Lineo5 non mi ha deluso. Per chi ama i Bassi, il Lineo li rende più "Corposi". In definitiva più che soddisfatto dell'acquisto.”
