“I've had the Rivo Plus for 2 weeks now. Before that, I had the normal Rivo. I use the Rivo Plus on the USB port of a high-quality Luxman Dac. And I also have the power supply Lineo5. Listening with the Rivo Plus is much more fun. It sounds smoother and more three-dimensional. It has a real bass – the Rivo was clearly worse there. And the highs are also less aggressive. These benefits make long-term listening easier – it's less tiring. The sound sounds "juicier", with more structure. With the Rivo I missed this serene and spacious reproduction...... I was constantly looking for improvements. I have arrived at Rivo plus. Please use the Lineo5 power supply, without this power supply part of the magic will be lost.”

“For years I've been trying to find a streamer that does everything I want, everything it claims to be able to do, and to do it all without bugs and playback stutters. I've had the ELAC Discovery Music Server (it worked, but after I got into DSD music, it wasn't cutting it anymore), iFi NEO Stream (buggy and had a ton of playback stutters), Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 (buggy and failed to play DSD properly on the current "firmware"), Raspberry Pi 5 running free Volumio (worked fine, but was a noticable step down in sound quality), and now this Rivo Plus. I've been using the DAC in my Marantz SA-KI "Ruby" SACD player, which I've been pretty happy with (although, being like I am, I've ordered a Denafrips Venus 15th DAC to replace it). I've only had this Volumio Rivo Plus for about two weeks, but I've done quite a bit of listening, including to some DSD music files on my local network via Roon and via the local USB storage on the Rivo Plus. I've had no stutters in playback and no bugs as of yet. The sound quality, at least with the Lineo5 that I purchased at the same time, is probably the best of any of the streamers/transports I've had (hard to say with the iFi NEO Stream--it sounded pretty good, too, when it wasn't stuttering and managing to play my DSD files without the error I was getting). The listening I did last night in particular sounded exceptionnally good. The bell in one track I was listening to sounded surprisingly real, enough that it kind of startled me at first. The imaging is great, and the soundstage seems like it might be a bit wider than what I've heard in my other network transports, and I think even better than my pretty good vinyl playback system, maybe even better than my SACD player. I'm very happy with this purchase. I think I can finally be done hunting for the perfect network transport.”

“First of all my system is made up of Epicure A500 speakers, Itacustic integrated amplifier, RME AD2 Dac, Volumio rivo plus and as a filter and power supply to the system Gigawat PC2 Evo plus power supply, In my setting I mostly listen to high definition music or from my ripped CDs contained in HD connected directly to the Rivo’s USB port and internet radio wich can stream music ap 320Kbs max. I couldn’t believe my ears due to the huge difference in listening that the switch from the streamer I used before to the Rivo plus caused, The HD music constantly revealed environmental informations which were not constant before. The sound stage expanded and the instruments appeared more defined and precise in their localization. The mids and voices are well defined and clear in their nuances, as they were previously but with better definition, naturalness, and listening pleasure. The bass gained definition and appeared more articulate and controlled. The impact gave the impression of great musicality and fullness of listening. Listening radio channels dont gave me the same immersive in music impression in music but listening was a plesure without asperity in the acute and mid tones and uncontrolled bas. What surprised me even more is that my wife, who previously always made me lower the playback volume, has no longer asked me to do so since I got the Rivo Plus. In short my the impression is that Rivo plus give an incredible upgrade to my system!”
