The inducer I received appeared to be in good condition, however after installation I found the fan to be defective. I contacted customer service and they told me to fill out a warranty claim. This is where the problem is, one of the stipulations for a warranty claim is "Please provide proof of installation/inspection by a licensed HVAC technician for the defective item (Ex. Receipt detailing issue with the item)". People comfortable with, and capable of repairing their own HVAC system are buying parts from Voomi to repair it by themselves, they are not buying a part for a "Licensed HVAC Technician" to install because unless your friend is licensed, you won't find a company to install parts a homeowner purchases. In other words, their warranty almost guarantees they will never have to exchange any defective item. I am fortunate to have a friend in the business, but not everybody does. If the company policy is not to exchange defective items unless a licensed HVAC technician does the work, they should only sell to licensed HVAC companies.
