“Bought the thermostat for use on a geothermal heat pump without auxiliary heat. Installed it myself, following the instructions in the directions as there were no disclaimers for homeowner installation. Started the unit with the thermostat and proceeded to the menu to set heat pump and found that the heat pump function was grayed out and not available. Did a factory reset and attempted to set the heat pump function again with the same results. Called my local HVAC contractor and had them look at it and verify wiring and function of the geothermal. the contractor experienced the same problem I did and could not set the thermostat to activate the heat pump on the unit. the warranty and return policy and found that since I installed it, I have no recourse to return it and get my money back for a faulty product. A waste of money, and a horrible return process and warranty terms. Nowhere in the instructions were there disclaimers that stated a qualified, HVAC contractor aligned with the manufacture, has to install it to validate a warranty return. Disappointed in Voomi as the vendor because they’re complicit. Buyer beware.”
