Maybe consider changing the size of the light fitting to a more standard size.
Have bought two E27 bulbs at approx £15 each, and both create a humming sound, returned them to where I bought them to find out this style of bulb does that. They may be fashionable having the elements showing, but to be honest a quite normal energy saving bulb would enhance your floor lamp better and users wouldn't get a headache.”
