Dear Wendy, Thank you for you taking the time to leave a review on your shade. I am sorry to hear your shade was not suitable. Our shades are manufactured to industry standard and are made of very strong metal. They have a reversible gimble inside so that the shade can be used as either a lamp or ceiling fitting.
