“Alpha Bumper plates are a nice set. The speckled look is different and stands out, too. The delivery could be improved upon as it's largest competitor ships within a couple days...not 30+. If delivery was faster it would be 5 stars.”

“Everything people write about the Alphas is true except for my situation the smell is a showstopper. The bumpers are quiet, well made, look good, and are good value for money (I purchased the 350lb set). My home gym is in a guest room (~18' x 12') in my apartment and despite keeping the room as well ventilated as I can (windows open, fans blowing, etc), after close to a month the smell is still overpowering and just not workable. Baking the plates a bit in the sun is reported to help on some forums but this isn't an option for me in the city. I know the Alphas are supposed to smell less than other bumpers, I can only imagine what others must smell like. I expect in a dedicated home gym in a garage or basement these plates would be perfect. If I could wait several more months maybe the smell would dissipate but for my particular setup I've decided to sell the Alphas. In an apartment I am not going to be dropping weights so instead of relying on bumpers for noise reduction, I'll likely pickup iron plates and just be careful about the noise. Vulcan the company gets 5 starts from me. Ordering was easy, great price, smooth transaction on all fronts.”

“Great Product and Company!! Had to wait a bit for them being on backorder, but well worth it. For close to the same price of black bumpers from other companies, you get a color coded set that can be dropped on multiple surfaces. As well, they are very quiet, fit snugly on the bar and are easy to remove from the bar (much appreciated toward the end of your workout). Customer service was very polite and accurate on when my shipment would go out and it was well wrapped and boxed when received. Definitely recommend product and Vulcan.”

“I've only had the weights for about a week, but they are just about as solid as anything that I've seen up to this point. I work out in my garage, and I just have all of my equipment right on the concrete floors. So, it's awesome that these weights can be dropped/set on just about any surface with no problems. It would be kind of annoying to constantly have to adjust my heavy hard rubber mats just to keep working out in the same area. Also, their customer service with this backordered product was great! Way better than what I dealt with at other companies. Highly recommended!”

“So the weights are fantastic, fresh look and yes they are as special as they say they are, however the difficulty of actually getting my weights was extreme and did in the end make me lose clients and made my grand opening look pretty week with only half the weights there. The customer service was fantastic as my rep Amanda was amazing and was always working to ensure I was satisfied. The delivery issue was not with Vulcan as it was Alpha who over promised and under delivered.”

“Ordered the 250 lbs alpha bumper set. Absolutely outstanding. Arrived individually packaged with small cut in each box to allow confirmation upon arrival. The plates are very very solid and you can feel how little they bounce just putting them on the ground. The smell took a day or two to dissipate but it was tolerable from day one. Note, my gym is a garage gym with door open so very well ventilated. But best of all is ordering and dealing with the customer service. They are fully committed to your satisfaction. They spoke to me several times and answered all of my questions. They even changed my order when I changed my mind to buy more weight. I was away on military orders and they held the shipment until I came back. Just a great company. Buy with confidence.”
