This item is estimated to be in stock December 8thPlease view Pre-Order FAQS What is a Buffalo Barbell?A Vulcan Buffalo Bar is a powerlifting barbell that is made with a curve to allow the lifter/exerciser to position the torso in a way that can alleviate strain on the biceps, back, and chest. For many, this position will benefit their progress in becoming stronger in the squat exercise and other exercises that incorporate multi-joint movement and generating power from the floor up. Unlike a Safety Squat Bar, the Vulcan Buffalo bar does not change the points of emphasis of the squat exercise. The Vulcan Buffalo barbell is made for serious weight training only. It is made to handle up to 1500 lbs of weight. The knurl would be considered medium to aggressive by most, like any power bar or squat bar. The knurl is cut when the barbell is straight, then the bar is bent. This is the case with any bent bar, not just ours. The knurl itself is consistent throughout the bar but it can feel different in the hand if you're only used to lifting with straight bars. The shaft is coated with Black Hard Chrome. Black Hard Chrome offers the highest combination of resistance to corrosion and metal to metal to metal contact wear than any other coating. “I wish I'd bought this bar sooner. The knurl is fabulous. My shoulders feel absolutely locked in throughout the squat with zero pain. Way better than the SSB I picked up from another brand.”

“Great value bar! It works equally well for squats and presses. It has very nice finishes with black chrome and hard chrome sleeves. Knurling is still pretty aggressive. The bar stays on your back well for squats”

“This barbell is awesome! I have trouble with the straight bar and shoulder pain. I tried a SSB from another company and it just didn't feel right, so I decided to order Vulcan's Buffalo Bar as a Birthday present to myself to see if it felt more like the straight bar without the shoulder pain. It feels great and really fits across my back during squats. I have also been using it for bench press and it also feels better than the straight bar to me.”
