I researched benches online and at a local retailer that stocks both household and commercial equipment. I was convinced I’d have to pay well over a thousand to get a sturdy, adjustable bench. I ran into the Vulcan FID 2.0 in an online search and it looked almost too good to be true. But user reviews were positive and seems genuine, so I went ahead and ordered it. The unit was shipped quickly and arrived on time. The packing box and material was badly beaten, so badly the hardware packet had ripped open, but everything was there. And this bench is a tank! I managed a commercial gym, and this bench, while heavy, will function as intended and last potentially forever. It is (if anything) overbuilt with good engineering and materials that simply will not degrade or break. I am impressed and will now consider Vulcan a go-to when purchasing any equipment. Thanks team Vulcan!

One screw stripped on the bench and the upper now rattles around a little. And the way the foot attaches leaves a surface that is not flat so the bench rocks around. The assembled bench is an awkward height. However, it is clear the bench is constructed from thick metal components and feels solid.

Hi Tim, If you stripped a screw from over-tightening it or mis-assembly please let us know and we will try to help to replace it if possible. The bench sits flat on flooring made for gyms. If you have some type of flooring that has bumps or indentations in it, then that might be the issue.

This is a workhorse of a bench: solidly built; does not move in the slightest in upright flat or decline positions; thick and solid pads that are, for me, the perfect width; and solid and supportive ankle pads. It is a relatively heavy bench (Vulcan states 106lbs.) but its solid wheels and handle allow for easy movement. All the pads are easily wiped clean with a towel. Overall, I am very satisfied with this bench and believe that it will last indefinitely.
