Four stars. It's solid and well-designed with great catchbars, and I think the price is fair. That being said, there are a few details which prevent it from being a five stair deal. Not all of the holes were fully punched out, meaning the circular leftover pieces (called "chads") were still in the holes. They punched out fine with an allen wrench and a hammer, but this meant some of the hole faces were not finished and are at risk of rusting. This is the only substantial criticism. The stand is currently outside, uncovered. Not ideal, I understand. However, the stand is not far from being outdoor ready. I applied lithium grease to the threads of the catchbar set screws. However, the insides of the welds have begun to rust, and the upright tube on the base has no way to drain, so I have to tip over the entire unit to drain the uprights after it rains. I will have to go over unfinished areas with some WD-40 to scrub the rust off, and I will have to treat those areas myself. I will look into some kind of cover for each upright, which should take care of most of these issues. Still, for outside use, it requires some prep. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this squat stand, especially if it will be used indoors. I would just recommend treating certain areas to prevent rust.

Does the job. Stubby little spotter arms, but they hold up well, only failed a rep once. Would not recommend dumping weight though, why risk it? It has enough plastic lining to protect your bar. The design to adjust the height and spotter placement took a little learning, but it’s pretty creative and good

Very heavy duty and great craftsmanship. Only drawback is the large foot print that limits space for racking and walking out the barbell. The heavy duty feet make the workable space between stands pretty narrow. Would recommend for users with short ceiling space as an alternative to a power rack or as a heavy but portable squat rack to be moved around.
