“The High Hex Trap Bar is a welcome addition to my strength and fitness program. I am 64 years old, so while wanting to lift heavy, I also need to reduce the chances of pulling out my back. The bar came well packaged, right to my door a couple of days after I made my order. I'm just getting back into lifting, this along with my Vulcan Alpha bumper set will be more than enough for the my goals. The bar I received weighs 48lbs.”

“Good grips - moderate knurling on both high & low handles. Enough space inside the hex for even a squat-width stance for a 5'11" guy. Seems solid - good welds, no rust. Handled up to 145kg without any flex or creaking noises. Not a lot of sleeve space - I can only load it up to 145kg unless I buy some metal plates or thin competition plates. Rackable only if you use some collars to keep the plates from wandering in, which takes up even more sleeve space. VULCAN USA Reply: The amount loaded on the bar of course depends on the thickness of the plates. The bar itself weighs a little over 40 lbs and is loaded to a total of 168kg in the photo on the product page. With steel plates the load would be considerably more.”
