I did a lot of research. I decided that this was the best bang for my bucks (no taxes or shipping during cyber week). High quality and easy assembly. I didn’t bolt it to the floor and it’s very sturdy. I love this piece of equipment.

Excellent power rack with virtually no movement with the rack not bolted down.

I thought long and hard and researched to death power racks before deciding on this one. I called Vulcan a bunch of times too and they were really good about helping and answering questions. Delivery was fast (5-6 days or so after ordering), and everything was packaged nice and secure. This was for a garage set up. I opted for more than 30 inches depth just because i had the extra few inches of space. I've had the rack for about 3-4 months now and am very very happy. Honestly the pictures on the site here need a refresh because i feel like they don't really do it justice. This is a very very nice rack, the holes all the way up on all 4 sides of the uprights are very functional..the safety pins are one inch steel and very solid; I use them all the time for inverted rows, or for kids to do pulls ups on them :) Anyway, The rack is very very solid, there's no sway and i don't even have it bolted to the floor yet. I got the plate storage so i hold it down with maybe 100-130 pounds on it at any given time. I mean heck, the rack itself weighs like 350 pounds so its very heavy. The 3 by 3 uprights look really good too..I know you don't get a rack for looks but it helps when it looks sweet. All of my buddies say they that most racks they've seen in gyms aren't this beefy. J Hooks are very solid too; i set up one pull up bar to the back and one in the middle at the highest setting of the uprights and i can pull up or swing if i need to and feet don't touch the floor. All in all i'm glad i didn't go with one of the other brands..you probably know who I'm talking about, nothing against them or anything but its just that the rack is way more steel than majority of people or gyms for that matter will ever need, and the folks from vulcan have been great every time i've bought stuff from them, and don't seem to nickel and dime you on minor items or changes you may need to make. Call them if you're not sure about stuff or space, height etc. Hopefully this review helps somebody out there cuz I was wondering about it and went back and forth a few times before finally pulling the trigger.

I needed a rack that didn't take up a lot of space and didn't have to be bolted to the wall or ground. The quality and sturdiness of the Slim Fit is fantastic. I highly recommend ordering an additional cross support bar to put across the top upper back. It not only makes the rack more solid but also gives you additional options to hang accessories from.
